Vancouver Chamber Choir's Palestrina 500 celebrates famed Renaissance composer, April 11

Local audiences can do just that on April 11 as the Vancouver Chamber Choir presents Palestrina 500, a celebration of the remarkable life and career of 16th-century Italian composer Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina.

Among the many gems on the program for this concert led by artistic director Kari Turunen, audiences are most likely to be familiar with the motet “Sicut cervus”, as well as the famous mass “Missa Papae Marcelli”.
