Little Mountain Gallery presents 24-Hours of Stand-Up with Graham Clark from May 23 at 8 pm to May 24 at 8 pm
CALL IT A LAUGH MARATHON: East Van “hero of hilarity” Graham Clark is preparing himself for the 24-Hours of Stand-Up show at Little Mountain Gallery, donating part of the proceeds to Filipino BC following the Lapu-Lapu Day Block Party tragedy.
Presented by Little Mountain Gallery, Clark’s 24-Hours of Stand-Up will find him alone working through day and night, with minimal bathroom breaks. He’ll perform jokes by comics from across the city, and beyond, as they write around the clock.
The JUNO-nominated standup artist, podcast host of Stop Podcasting Yourself, and a CBC-named a “national treasure” has won three Canadian Comedy Awards and is head writer for The Debaters. The guy has even made a name slaying audiences by reading the phonebook.
No stranger to charity fundraising, Clark also sells paintings that he has made with his signature beard at beardpaintings.com, raising thousands for nonprofit groups.
Clark is known for pairing his comedic craftmanship with good-natured grouchiness, laidback West Coast vibe, and offbeat perspectives. This fundraiser marks the third time the comedian has staged a 24-hour joke-athon at Little Mountain—meaning he knows what he’s in for.
For those who can’t get down to Little Mountain’s new Gastown location for the event, it’s also available to watch online through live stream. Additional donations can be made here.
