Rumble Theatre’s Tremors Festival takes place from June 6 to 8—and with five experimental works in store at Progress Lab 1422, there are two different ways to experience all the offerings.

Each production shows every night of the festival. Audiences can choose between one of two tracks running simultaneously, and one ticket provides access to all three of the shows within either track. Performances begin at 7 pm, and attendees are welcome to stop by early to grab a drink at the bar and play games.

TRACK 1

Dream Machine by Howard Dai

Everywhere at Progress Lab 1422

Part game show, part immersive dreamscape. In this world, dreams are your currencies and imagination is your most useful tool; the more you dream, the richer you are. But is it all as simple as it seems?

Dream Machine is also part of Track 2 (which means that every audience member gets a chance to see it).

Dear Star Trek by Christine Genier

Studio at Progress Lab 1422

A love letter to the final frontier, filled with memes, laughter, and critique. Genier’s personal Starfleet mission? “To seek out new storylines and overlooked opportunities to place real Indigenous characters and voices in pop culture.”

Nod by Paige Louter

Outdoor Tent at Progress Lab 1422

An intimate, immersive lullaby for the overworked and overtired. This dreamy solo performance explores fatigue, care, and the strange rituals we build to survive sleeplessness.

Fun Fact: You’re supposed to be paralyzed while dreaming. If you’re not—uh-oh!

TRACK 2

Panoptikon by Kern Albert & Donna-Michelle St. Bernard

Studio at Progress Lab 1422

A bold, beat-driven collection of hip hop, spoken word, and monologue. This powerful work gives voice to those navigating the prison system—and those beyond the bars.

Fun Fact: All beats are 100% organic. Also: What is a Duce?

Pelmet & Sables by Cameron Peal

Outdoor Tent at Progress Lab 1422

A brief moment that would make sense if it could, but it can't, even though there is effort. Two non-human spirits try (and fail) to die in this surrealist, absurd comedy about life, death, grief, and the limitations of language.

Can’t decide on which track? Choose “SURPRISE ME” and roll the dice when you pick up your ticket to leave it all to fate.

Want to see them all? Attending two nights of the Tremors Festival will allow you to catch all the shows.
