THEY’RE TWO MUSICAL powerhouses: soul singer Dawn Pemberton and bassist Jodi Proznick are joining forces for their annual festive concert, O Come All Ye Soulful.
The performance puts a soulful, joy-filled bounce into classic holiday songs. The music includes tunes made famous by the likes of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Ella Fitzgerald, John Legend, Donny Hathaway, Otis Redding, Darlene Love, Vince Guaraldi, and more. Accompanying the artists are Vince Mai on trumpet, Tilden Webb on piano, Nick Bracewell on drums, and James Danderfer on saxophone.
Pemberton is a prolific artist known as Canada’s queen of soul, while Proznick is a three-time Juno-nominated artist who in 2019 was named Jazz Artist of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards.
