DJ O Show and DJ Kookum bring Full Circle: First Nations Performance’s Winter Lodge to a celebratory close

InterSocial Nations — a Virtual Dance Party takes place online on February 27 from 8 to 10 pm PST as part of Talking Stick Festival.

TALKING STICK FESTIVAL’S Winter Lodge: Sitting with our Ancestors comes to a celebratory finish with InterSocial Nations — a Virtual Dance Party.

The February 27 online bash features DJ O Show, DJ Kookum, and special surprise guests.

DJ O Show is a female hip-hop and R&B DJ in Vancouver whose mantra is “diversity makes beautiful music”.

Kookum is an Indigenous DJ and videographer from the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation and Cold Lake First Nations, their maternal Denesuline traditional territory. The open-format DJ but grew up listing to EDM and hip hop.

The Winter Lodge is just the first seasonal event of Talking Stick’s 20th anniversary. The festival is the signature event of Full Circle: First Nations Performance, founded by Cree/Saulteaux interdisciplinary artist and arts leader Margo Kane.
