Pi Theatre presents the world premiere of A Taste of Hong Kong, March 6 to 15

Brought to the stage in association with Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre, production stars Derek Chan in a tasting class and history lesson

Pi Theatre continues its foray into original work with the world premiere of A Taste of Hong Kong, presented in association with Vancouver Asian Canadian Theatre from March 6 to 15 at The Cultch’s Vancity Culture Lab.

Join Jackie Z in this production for a snack-sized tasting class of Hong Kong’s best treats. Jackie will introduce audiences to famous foods such as curry fish balls, siu mai, and more while sharing the highlights and history of Hong Kong. Covering events from the colonial era to the present, this class will give attendees an intimate look at the pride and determination of Hong Kong’s people.

Directed by Richard Wolfe and starring Derek Chan, A Taste of Hong Kong was written by an author who chose to remain anonymous due to fear of reprisals by the security services of a foreign government.
