What’s Stirring: Italian Design Days celebrate craftsmanship, April 7 to 15
Made-in-Italy brands take centre-stage at the event featuring virtual experiences and in-person visits to Vancouver-based showrooms
Canada’s first Armani/Casa showroom, in Vancouver’s Armoury District, is among the studios participating in Italian Design Days.
Italian Design Days run April 7 to 15 online and in person by appointment.
ARMANI/CASA, AMBRY Interiors, Cappelleria Bertacchi, Habitat by AEON, and Poliform are all participating in the second edition of Italian Design Days. Taking place April 7 to 15, the event consists of webinars and open houses, the latter happening in person by appointment.
Designers will cover topics such as contemporary Italian design, Umbria textile history, and Tuscan craftsmanship in virtual seminars in collaboration with Istituto Italiano Design in Perugia, NABA/Domus Academy/Istituto Marangoni in Milan, and Artex Tuscan Collections in Florence.
The Italian Chamber of Commerce in Canada-West is presenting the fest with the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver and the Toronto-based Italian Trade Agency ITA.
The event will also see the launch of the Italian Design Map, an online tool showcasing Italian and Canadian businesses.
